PARTICIPATE

Every year, millions of Monarch butterflies arrive in Michoacan, Mexico, coinciding with the celebration of Día de Los Muertos. The butterflies settle in the Oyamel fir tree forests for the winter months. It is believed that the Monarchs are the returning spirits of loved ones who have passed. Decorate a butterfly in memory of a loved one and place it on our community altar on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
